Food
The Friday Food Fairs provide fresh fruit and produce every Friday morning
at the Jesse Tree in Galveston and Bolivar Peninsula, and the Jesse Tree at
Mainland Medical Center in Texas City. The fairs are a valuable resource,
supplying nutritious food to families in need. Special food packages for diabetic
and other special dietary needs are available upon request.
The Food Fair also provides an opportunity for uninsured individuals to receive
assistance with access to health care and other social services. Jesse Tree
offers other services during this time as well. Such services may include;
immunizations, diabetic screenings, and blood pressure monitoring.
